Sector: Parametric Architecture
Year: 2021
Simulations made by using parametric tools, to study the affection of it in the desert architecture.
Spain, 2021.
Simulation of a parametric facade that allows sun, airflow, and heat to pass through some of the units, while preventing them from passing through other units.
Facade units that change depending on the heat, light and airflow needed to enter the building by changing their angle. The system got applied on residency area to 3D visualize it.
Desert circle patterns could be applied to the center pivot irrigation idea to create a parametric simulation for a crop circles field. This would be a modern approach to the issue, far from the traditional approach used in that area.
Crop circles represent a solution to the desertification problem by creating green areas around cities.
Experimental design of small-scale structures taking in considerations wind, loads, and anchors, to upgrade the design process from traditional to the computational simulation design.
An example that shows the power of these tools and how far they can take the design and manufacturing process of portable structures.
